Just Another Day..

Yesterday we had our 'field trip' day for our Galleries & Museum's class from 1:30-4:30, so Hannah and I decided to get up early and go exploring more on our own first.  We left our place around 10 a.m and rode the tube to go do some 'looking around' at a few pricey stores.  I do not call this shopping, because no way was I going to be able to afford anything in there!  We first went to Harvey Nichols and checked out all 5 levels of the store.  This is actually one of the stores that Kate Middleton is known for shopping at!  After that we walked through the store Harrods.  I have never seen a bigger, more extravagant store in my life.  One minute I was in handbag heaven, the next in diamond heaven, followed by chocolate heaven!!  I could have spent all day there.  We decided not to look through all the levels though, because we knew we were walking out empty-handed either way.  After that we ventured on to Piccadilly Circus and looked at some cute shops in the area.  We even found the M&M store!  It was such a vibrant place, and it made me wish I was 10 years old again.  Despite our age, we still had our fun taking pictures there.  We then made our way to Covent Gardens where we looked at more unique shops, took more pictures, and looked at really neat souvenir stands.

By now it was getting to be time to head to the gallery for class.  We had told our instructor that we would be meeting the class there since we were already out and about.  We took the tube to the very last stop on that course, then planned on walking to the gallery.  After getting off at the last stop, we realized it might be a little harder to find than planned.  We asked numerous people for directions, and finally one lady was able to help us!  We had to get on a double decker bus for the first time and she told us what stop to get off at.  Then we walked for another few blocks before finally arriving!  I was so happy to have spotted our class standing outside the gallery.  We then walked through the picture gallery taking notes for our class and taking in the different pieces of artwork.  It was quite interesting to see everything this gallery had to offer.  It makes me very intrigued to see what other museums or galleries we will be going to this semester.

Upon arriving back to our dorms, we relaxed for a bit before going to supper with our friends in the dining hall which is in the basement of our dorm building.  We spent the night just relaxing and working on some of our homework.  Hannah and I have both been reading lately as well so we did that just before going to bed.  Here are a few pictures to recap another day of our exploring!

These cars are just too funny!

 That's about right!

Finally found it!!
